For Marlaina, massage therapy is about more than relieving physical discomfort. It's about creating meaningful connections, providing comfort, and ensuring every client feels valued, respected, and cared for.
With specialized training in geriatric massage, oncology massage, manual lymphatic drainage, and compassionate care for individuals with complex needs, Marlaina brings a thoughtful, individualized approach to every session.
A Career Rooted in Compassion
After more than 15 years working as an administrative assistant, Marlaina decided to pursue a new career path. With encouragement from a friend, she enrolled at Indiana Therapeutic Massage School in Indianapolis in the spring of 2016 and graduated the following year as a licensed massage therapist.
Her passion for caring for older adults grew through her experiences in long-term care facilities. She saw firsthand how meaningful human connection could influence residents' emotional well-being, particularly those who experienced loneliness or limited family visits.
Those experiences helped shape her philosophy: massage should provide more than physical comfort. It should offer a moment of genuine connection, dignity, reassurance, and compassionate touch.
